There is no need to make changes to tags outside of MM. Is there a way to have MediaMonkey recognize the changes I have made to the location of my songs outside of the program short of changing the files that I want, and then deleting all music out of MM and then putting it back in? Options>Library>File Monitor (you will need to choose the folder to monitor for me it is Music). And, if I remember correctly, the File Monitor might do what you are asking. I think the best answer to #2 is to not make any changes outside MM, but others will chime in, I'm sure.

You may need to read up/study how to configure Auto Organize, but it can be one of your best friends once you figure it out. The answer to #1 is to make your changes and then click Tools>Auto Organize.

This is also the cause of out of order albums for me (it plays Beatles - Revolver first, then Beatles - Unknown Album, if Beatles Unknown Album contains tracks 3,4,6,8 then it plays out of order). Thus, my music on my phone remains unorganized. I have problems where songs (within my windows folders) are listed under unknown artist or unknown album.

So, I request help in figuring out 1 of 2 ways to fix my problem.ġ. If I change it within the windows folder, the underlying issue is (presumably) fixed, but MediaMonkey then doesn't realize the change, in essence having lost the filepath to the song. If I change the file names within MediaMonkey (through editing the text-boxes) the underlying file organization doesn't change, and my problems persist.
